1. Our Commitment to Your Family’s Privacy

VilleShield is built to protect you and your loved ones—never to monetize, rent, or sell your personal information. We do not sell your personal data, location history, or contact details to advertisers, marketers, or data brokers under any circumstances.

2. Information We Collect & Why

We collect only the minimum information required to deliver live city safety alerts, scam warnings, and family coordination features:

• Account Details: Your name, email address, and home city so you can sign in and receive local weather, emergency, and scam warnings for your area.
• Family Circle Cities: The names, relationships, and cities of the loved ones you add to your Family Circle so VilleShield can watch over their neighborhoods and notify you of major alerts where they live.
• Scam Check Submissions: Suspicious texts, links, or phone numbers you paste into Scam Check are analyzed to give you an instant safety verdict and help warn families about active phishing or impersonation waves.

3. Location Privacy on StreetShield (~150m Neighborhood Rounding)

VilleShield does not track your continuous background movements. Your phone’s location is checked only when you open StreetShield to view nearby street hazards, post a community safety alert, or confirm whether a reported hazard is still active. Every community report automatically rounds GPS coordinates to a general neighborhood area (~150 meters) so your exact home, driveway, or standing location is never displayed.

4. Private LegacyVault Protection

Your LegacyVault entries—such as blood type, allergies, medications, hospital preferences, and where you keep banking or legal documents—are locked directly on your phone using your personal Vault Passcode before they are saved. VilleShield staff cannot read or unlock your private LegacyVault notes.

5. Your Right to Delete Your Account & Data at Any Time

You have complete control over your account and data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated records at any time directly inside the mobile app under Profile → Account & Plan → Delete Account, or by visiting our Account Deletion page.
